Quick fixes

“Use Current Tab” doesn’t work

Click the Use Current Tab button when the page you want is active. The extension only requests activeTab permission when you click it. If the page is a special Chrome page (e.g., chrome://) or a restricted store page, Chrome won’t share the URL.

Icon not showing in the toolbar

Pin the extension: click the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar → pin QR Code Generator. If you still see a generic icon, make sure the icons exist at icons/icon16.png, icon32.png, icon48.png, icon128.png and reload via chrome://extensionsReload.

Logo overlay looks blurry

Use a square, high‑resolution logo (e.g., 512×512). Try a higher QR size (e.g., 512 or 1024) and export PNG. Keep overlay between 15–25% for best scanability.

QR not scanning

Increase error correction to Q or H, avoid very light foreground colors, and keep strong contrast between dark/light colors. Very long text may require a larger size.

Privacy

We don’t collect analytics or personal data. All QR generation is performed locally. The extension requests activeTab only when you click “Use Current Tab,” and uses storage to save your local history.
